We've just updated our hire bike fleet and have the last of our old bikes to clear.


The bikes are Gary Fisher Tarpon, they are simple, robust bikes, 21 speed, front suspension mountain bikes. There is only 2 left, they are both larger sizes, a 19.5" and 21.5". Super cheap price at only $100 ea. Pick up from the shop only.

It Takes Two to Tandem!

Its been a long while coming, but finally we've been able to get our hands on a pair of lovely Trek tandems for our hire fleet.

Two seats means four times the fun, the perfect way to enjoy the sites and tastes of McLaren Vale.

The Trek T900 is fully adjustable to suit a wide height range of riders, especially good is the low stand over height on the rear, perfect for the kids!

Good Clean Fun

Isaac T ripping it up at Fox Creek, not too much luck for the 16 year old this time but he still managed an impressive fourth place in Under 19's. Three rounds in and three top five five finishes for the lad on the Kona Stab.

Monday morning saw Dave and I out scouting the route for the up coming Bicycle SA Track and Trail in Kuipto forest (June 21). The forecast is for a fun challenge. Loop One will suit almost any rider as it weaves out behind Prospect Hill and around the pines and open scrub land in the Chookarloo area. Loop 2 takes in the views across to Victor Harbour and Lake Alexandrina before diving into the forest proper where the track alternates between flowing fire racks and Adelaide MTB Club's cross-country specific mountain bike tracks. We suggest participants pack a second pair of socks, your feet will get wet.

Bike Hire Rates as at 2 October 2008

$5 per hour, with $15 minimum

$40 for 30-hour hire (Hire in morning, return next evening)

$10/hour Tandem Hire

$10 delivery to Bed and Breakfasts in Southern Vales

Helmets and baskets are included.

Long term hire and group discounts are negotiable
